About Rajan Kurian
Raj and his team come to you. My Rehab at Home is a small team of five physiotherapists who visit people at home across Gloucestershire, Gwent, and Bristol, Bath and North Somerset. There is no clinic to get to and no waiting list.
They see people who have had a fall or feel unsteady, people home from hospital or getting over an operation, people after a stroke or living with a neurological condition, and people with painful muscles and joints.
Raj set up My Rehab at Home in the Forest of Dean to bring physiotherapy into people's homes. He believes rehabilitation works best where you live, because that is where the hard parts of the day happen: your own stairs, your own chair, the step at the front door.
Alongside the practice, Raj works in the NHS as a First Contact Physiotherapist in GP surgeries and as a Senior Physiotherapist in local hospitals. His main interests are muscle and joint problems, falls prevention and recovery after an operation.
Visits are not rushed. Most last 30 to 40 minutes, and the team stays longer when you need it. They also advise on walking aids, equipment and changes around the home, and are happy to involve family and carers.
Whatever brings you here, the first step is a free phone call. You can talk through what has been happening, and the team will match you with the physiotherapist best suited to your needs.
