About the My Rehab at Home team

Rajan Kurian and his team at My Rehab at Home visit people at home across Gloucestershire. There is no clinic to get to and no waiting list, you do not need a GP referral, and the first step is a free phone call.

Raj set up My Rehab at Home to bring physiotherapy into people's homes. He also works in the NHS, as a First Contact Physiotherapist in GP surgeries and as a Senior Physiotherapist in local hospitals. His main interests are muscle and joint problems, falls prevention and recovery after an operation.

He works with four other physiotherapists. Sophie has a special interest in older people, recovery after surgery, falls, neurological conditions and breathing problems. Fliss, who also teaches Pilates, focuses on balance and falls, and works with people after a stroke, after orthopaedic surgery or after an amputation. Anna helps people with dizziness and with jaw (TMJ) problems, and is also a massage therapist. Katie works with people after orthopaedic surgery or an amputation, and with muscle and joint problems and falls.

From their base in the Forest of Dean they cover the whole county: Gloucester and Cheltenham, Stroud and its valleys, Tewkesbury, the Cotswolds, the Forest of Dean itself, and South Gloucestershire from Thornbury and Yate down to Kingswood. Visits are not rushed: most last 30 to 40 minutes, and the team stays longer when you need it. They also advise on walking aids, equipment and changes around the home, and are happy to involve family and carers.
