About Marcus Amoako
Marcus is an HCPC-registered physiotherapist currently working as an MSK Specialist within the NHS, providing mobile physiotherapy and home-visit physiotherapy across Greater Manchester. He has extensive experience helping people recover from injury, manage pain, and regain confidence in their movement.
He specialises in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, from acute injuries to long-term pain and post-operative rehabilitation. Marcus holds a First Class Honours BSc in Physiotherapy from Manchester Metropolitan University and has developed broad clinical experience across hospital wards, outpatient clinics, and community services.
Earlier in his career he completed rotational placements with the Northern Care Alliance, gaining experience across medical wards, rapid response teams, community COPD management, and specialist MSK services across Salford, Rochdale, and Bury. This background has given him a strong foundation in assessing and treating patients with complex conditions both in clinical settings and in their own homes.
A key part of Marcus's approach is delivering physiotherapy in the home environment where appropriate. This allows him to fully understand your day-to-day challenges and tailor rehabilitation to what matters most to you - whether that's walking confidently, returning to sport, or simply managing daily activities with less pain.
Marcus has also worked as a pitch-side physiotherapist for an American football team, supporting athletes with injury assessment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play planning.
