About Matthew Velasco

Matthew is a Chartered Physiotherapist based in Oxfordshire, with NHS experience at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust working in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council on the Discharge to Assess (D2A) / HomeFirst pathway. He has supported patients across the whole of Oxfordshire in their own homes for the past 10+ months, alongside a 9-month rotation in musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy.

Matthew brings NHS-grade clinical reasoning into private home visits — combining thorough assessment, evidence-based treatment, and tailored exercise prescription. He helped develop a dedicated physiotherapy assessment form and revamped clinical referral standards within his NHS service, and has acted as a clinical educator for junior physiotherapists and students during his outpatient rotation.

His approach is calm, patient-centred, and built around clear shared decision-making. Matthew supports adults with musculoskeletal pain, post-operative rehabilitation needs, reduced mobility, falls risk, and confidence walking indoors and out — building plans that fit each person's home, goals and pace.
