About Ibrahim Ali

Ibrahim comes to you. He and his colleague Vinay Allam visit people at home across Bedfordshire, so there is no clinic to get to and no waiting list. They see people with back, neck and joint pain, people recovering from an operation or a joint replacement, people after a stroke, and older people who have become unsteady on their feet.

Ibrahim has been a physiotherapist for over 30 years, 23 of them in the NHS. Today he works in the NHS as an extended scope practitioner. That is a senior role for physiotherapists who are trained to assess and diagnose complex back, joint and muscle problems, and to arrange scans and tests, work that would otherwise need a doctor. In plain terms, he is used to getting to the bottom of problems that have not got better elsewhere.

Neurological rehabilitation is his other main interest. He holds a master's degree in neurological physiotherapy, and he helps people get walking, balance and everyday movement back after a stroke and with other neurological conditions.

Ibrahim and Vinay work together at Physio Experts, which runs a Saturday clinic in Bedford as well as home visits. Depending on what you need, either of them may be the one who visits you.
