About Zarah Ashraf

Zarah is an HCPC registered physiotherapist with over 15 years of clinical experience across a wide range of healthcare settings. Throughout her career she has worked in neurological, musculoskeletal (MSK), respiratory and community-based physiotherapy, developing extensive expertise in treating patients with diverse and complex needs.

Her broad clinical background means she can support people at every stage of their rehabilitation journey — from managing acute conditions and long-term illness to helping people recover from injury and rebuild strength and confidence. Zarah has worked with people of all ages and abilities, always delivering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient's goals.

Zarah has a background as a physiotherapy clinic director and has more than a decade of medico-legal experience as a MedCo accredited expert witness for the Ministry of Justice. She is known for her warm, approachable manner, strong clinical skills, and genuine commitment to helping people regain mobility, independence and quality of life. As part of Lizzie Thornton's Cheshire East team, she adds specialist MSK, orthopaedic and neurological expertise to the home-visit service across the county.
