About Charlotte Dyke

Charlotte comes to you. She is a physiotherapist who visits people at home across Worcestershire, so there is no clinic to get to. She treats muscle, joint and bone problems: back and neck pain, painful joints and arthritis, sports and muscle injuries, and getting strong again after an operation or a joint replacement. She also helps older people who have become unsteady or less mobile to build their strength and balance back up.

She qualified in 2009 and started out in a local hospital. Since 2017 she has run Black Pear Physio, a Worcestershire practice first opened in 1994, with clinics in Worcester and Stourport-on-Severn as well as home visits. She also visits people in care and nursing homes. She uses a mix of hands-on treatment, acupuncture and exercise, and she is just as happy helping someone walk to the shops again as helping someone get back to their sport.

Charlotte trains the next generation of physiotherapists. She takes students on placement and has taught at the University of Worcester, so a physiotherapy student may come along to your visit. That only happens if you are happy with it, and it can mean an extra pair of hands when you are practising moving about.

She treats muscle and joint problems only. If you need help after a stroke or with another neurological condition, she can point you to a colleague who does.

Whatever brings you here, the first step is a phone call to talk it through. She will tell you honestly if physiotherapy is not the right answer.
