About James Fletcher
James comes to you. He is a physiotherapist who lives in Ellesmere Port and visits people at home across Cheshire West, from Chester and Neston out to Northwich and Winsford. There is no clinic to get to and no waiting room.
A lot of his work is the everyday stuff that stops people doing what they want to do: a back that has gone, a knee that will not settle, a shoulder that has been sore for months, or a slow recovery after an operation. He will look at how you are moving, explain what he thinks is going on in plain words, and give you a few things to work on that fit around your day.
Sport is the other half of it. James played at university level in the United States on an athletic scholarship, and he treats sports injuries from a twisted ankle to a hamstring that keeps going, through to getting back to training safely. He is also trained in sports massage.
He spends part of every week working in the community with people who are becoming less steady on their feet, and with people living with long-term conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's. That work is about strength, balance, confidence and staying independent at home.
James trained at Keele University, taking a first class degree in health and rehabilitation and then a Master's in physiotherapy. He runs his own private practice alongside his work here. Whatever brings you to him, the first step is a free phone call with Lizzie to talk it through.
