About Avais Kawos
Avais is an HCPC registered physiotherapist with broad NHS and community rehabilitation experience across intermediate care, discharge pathways, neurological rehabilitation, respiratory rehabilitation, musculoskeletal care and complex community caseloads.
He currently works as a Specialist Physiotherapist in an Intermediate Care Team, assessing and treating adults with neurological, respiratory, musculoskeletal and cognitive impairment in community and reablement settings. His clinical background includes Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, First Community Health and Care NHS, Birmingham Health and Care NHS Trust, NHS Walsall Teaching PCT, Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust and private clinic leadership.
Avais's home visit work is practical and goal-led. He looks at how someone moves in their actual home, then builds a clear plan for strength, balance, walking, transfers, stairs, breathing, pain, confidence and independence. That approach is especially useful after hospital discharge, surgery, falls, stroke, respiratory illness or a period of reduced mobility.
