Take on an established area in County Durham

We are looking for an experienced, HCPC registered physiotherapist to cover towns across County Durham as a self-employed mobile physiotherapist.

County Durham is an established area for us, not a new one. A full set of town and service pages is already live and indexed across the county, and it sits between Tyne and Wear, Teesside and North Yorkshire, so it joins up coverage we already run rather than standing on its own.

The county runs from the cathedral city of Durham and the A1 corridor, out to the former pit villages of the east coast at Seaham, Peterlee and Horden, and west into Weardale and Teesdale. The towns along the A1 and A167 are quick to cover; the colliery villages have a large older population, and many people there find getting to a hospital outpatient clinic hard.

Towns we're recruiting for

Select a town to find out more about the opportunity in your area.

The role also covers surrounding areas including Shildon, Spennymoor, Crook, Stanley, Sedgefield, Ferryhill, Lanchester, Brandon, Easington, Horden, Murton and Barnard Castle.

Why County Durham?

  • The groundwork is done: County Durham already has a full set of local town and service pages on our site, live and indexed, so you are not starting from an empty search result.
  • Next to our existing coverage: County Durham borders Tyne and Wear, Teesside and North Yorkshire, so it sits inside the patch we already run rather than off on its own.
  • Steady referral sources: Patients often come home from University Hospital of North Durham, Darlington Memorial Hospital, Bishop Auckland Hospital, Shotley Bridge Community Hospital and the University Hospital of North Tees needing rehabilitation to continue.
  • One physiotherapist per county: The area is yours. We do not put two people in the same patch.

What you get

  • Your own dedicated area: Cover your patch of County Durham with no internal competition
  • All payments direct to you: Patients pay you directly — no commission or per-appointment fees
  • Established brand: Use the Mobile Physiotherapist brand for invoices, business cards, and online presence
  • Web pages that already exist: Local area pages built and optimised for search, updated to carry your name and details
  • Professional support: Access to branded materials, Facebook presence, and a network of fellow physiotherapists
  • Be your own boss: Set your own hours, choose your caseload, work the way that suits you

What we're looking for

  • HCPC Registered physiotherapist
  • CSP Member (or willing to join)
  • Experience in community or home-based physiotherapy
  • Confident working independently with a varied caseload
  • Own transport and ability to travel within your area of County Durham
  • Professional indemnity insurance (or willing to obtain)
  • DBS checked (or willing to obtain)
