About Leah's Hertfordshire service

Leah Edwards is a chartered physiotherapist (MCSP) and HCPC registered practitioner providing home physiotherapy across Hertfordshire. She lives in Harpenden and has worked in clinics across the county since 2022. Her work is musculoskeletal: back and neck pain, shoulder problems, hip, knee, foot and ankle pain, arthritis, and recovery after an operation.

Leah qualified with a First from London South Bank University in 2020 and began in the NHS at Chelsea and Westminster, first in the respiratory and intensive care team through the pandemic and then in medical rehabilitation with older, acutely unwell patients. She moved to musculoskeletal outpatients at the Whittington, where much of her caseload was people living with persistent pain and where she ran a weekly knee osteoarthritis class.

Since 2022 she has worked in private clinics in and around St Albans and Harpenden, and she also spends one day a week in a private hospital treating people after surgery: hip and knee replacements, shoulder operations, foot and ankle procedures and ACL reconstruction. In that work every patient is measured and given their own goals, and she brings the same habit to home visits. Alongside this she has just completed a part-time Master's in psychology, taken to understand what actually helps people stick with a rehabilitation plan, and is waiting for the result. Leah assesses and diagnoses directly, so there is no waiting for a GP referral before treatment can start.
