Physio Jobs in Tyne and Wear
Self-employed mobile physiotherapy opportunities across Tyne and Wear
Join our growing team in Tyne and Wear
We are looking for experienced, HCPC registered physiotherapists to cover towns across Tyne and Wear as self-employed mobile physiotherapists.
Tyne and Wear borders our existing County Durham coverage and sits just north of Teesside, so it joins up our North East footprint rather than standing on its own.
The county is compact and densely populated, with short travel times between visits and a large older population across Newcastle, Sunderland, Gateshead and the coastal towns of North and South Tyneside.
Towns we're recruiting for
Select a town to find out more about the opportunity in your area.
The role also covers surrounding areas including Whitley Bay, Tynemouth, Jarrow, Hebburn, Washington, Boldon, Ryton and the surrounding areas.
Why Tyne and Wear?
- A new area for us: Tyne and Wear is a fresh patch, so whoever joins takes it on from the start with no internal competition.
- Next to our existing coverage: Tyne and Wear borders our existing County Durham coverage and sits just north of Teesside, so it joins up our North East footprint rather than standing on its own.
- Steady referral sources: Patients often come home from Royal Victoria Infirmary, Freeman Hospital, Sunderland Royal Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Gateshead and South Tyneside District Hospital needing rehabilitation to continue.
- Room to shape it: As the first physiotherapist in the county you help decide which towns we build out first.
What you get
- Your own dedicated area: Cover your patch of Tyne and Wear with no internal competition
- All payments direct to you: Patients pay you directly — no commission or per-appointment fees
- Established brand: Use the Mobile Physiotherapist brand for invoices, business cards, and online presence
- Your own web pages: Dedicated area pages on our website, optimised for local search
- Professional support: Access to branded materials, Facebook presence, and a network of fellow physiotherapists
- Be your own boss: Set your own hours, choose your caseload, work the way that suits you
What we're looking for
- HCPC Registered physiotherapist
- CSP Member (or willing to join)
- Experience in community or home-based physiotherapy
- Confident working independently with a varied caseload
