The opportunity

We're looking for an experienced, HCPC registered physiotherapist to cover Rutland as a self-employed mobile physiotherapist.

Rutland is England's smallest county, and it is covered as a single patch — one physiotherapist looks after Oakham, Uppingham and the surrounding villages. That makes it an unusually manageable area with short travel times between visits.

This is a fresh opportunity. Our previous physiotherapist for the area has moved on, and a full set of local web pages is already live and attracting patient enquiries, so the framework is in place for you to step in and build a caseload from day one.

Towns we're recruiting for

Select a town to find out more about the opportunity in your area.

The role also covers the surrounding villages, including Cottesmore, Ketton, Ryhall, Langham, Whissendine, Greetham, Empingham, Edith Weston, Barrowden, Lyddington, Market Overton, North Luffenham and South Luffenham.

Why Rutland?

  • Established website presence: Dedicated area pages are already live across Oakham, Uppingham, Cottesmore, Ketton, Ryhall, Langham, Whissendine, Greetham and the surrounding villages, alongside six local physiotherapy guides.
  • Existing patient enquiries: Patients are already searching for home physiotherapy in Rutland — the framework is in place to direct them to you.
  • Strong demographic fit: Rutland has an older-than-average population, with steady demand for stroke and neurological rehabilitation, falls prevention, elderly rehabilitation and post-operative recovery.
  • Compact patch: The whole county is a short drive end to end, so you spend your day treating rather than travelling.
  • Well connected: Rutland sits within easy reach of Stamford, Melton Mowbray, Corby and Leicester, so the area suits physiotherapists based just outside the county too.

What you get

  • Your own dedicated area: Cover the whole of Rutland with no internal competition
  • All payments direct to you: Patients pay you directly — no commission or per-appointment fees
  • Established brand: Use the Mobile Physiotherapist brand for invoices, business cards, and online presence
  • Your own web pages: Dedicated area pages on our website, optimised for local search
  • Professional support: Access to branded materials, Facebook presence, and a network of fellow physiotherapists
  • Be your own boss: Set your own hours, choose your caseload, work the way that suits you

What we're looking for

  • HCPC Registered physiotherapist
  • CSP Member (or willing to join)
  • Experience in community or home-based physiotherapy
  • Confident working independently with a varied caseload
  • Own transport and ability to travel across Rutland
  • Professional indemnity insurance (or willing to obtain)
  • DBS checked (or willing to obtain)
