Why home visits work well in Flintshire
Flintshire stretches from the estuary towns of Connah's Quay, Shotton and Queensferry, through Mold and Buckley, up to Holywell, Mostyn and the coastal fringe. Bus routes are patchy in places, and journeys that look short on a map can take a while. If you are recovering from surgery, in significant pain, or caring for someone with limited mobility, that journey is often the hardest part of getting treatment.
A home visit removes it entirely. It also lets your physiotherapist see the environment you are actually recovering in — your stairs, your chair height, the step at your back door — and build rehabilitation around it.

Our physiotherapists are HCPC registered, with NHS experience in musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedics and neurological rehabilitation. Typical reasons people get in touch include:
- Back and neck pain — including manual therapy and spinal mobilisation
- Post-operative recovery — joint replacement, fractures and orthopaedic trauma
- Sports injuries — rehabilitation and return to training
- Long-standing pain — education, pacing and graded exercise
- Neurological rehabilitation — stroke, Parkinson's and similar conditions
- Balance, walking and confidence — particularly after a fall or a hospital stay
What happens at a first visit
Home appointments are 45 minutes. Expect a proper conversation about what has happened and what you want to get back to, a physical assessment, hands-on treatment where it is appropriate, and a short home programme you can realistically keep up.
No GP referral is needed for private physiotherapy. Bring any letters or scan reports you have if they are relevant.
